For my still life painting, I painted different flowers using cool colors and the background warm colors so I can make it standout and bring emphasis on the peacock feather. I made value on the ocean; as the ocean was going up, it was going lighter because the sun was in the setting in the horizon. I made value going up to because of the sun. I made the leaves have value too because I wanted it to be bright. I put space in between each flower because I wanted to pop-out of the painting. I’m made ocean view because I think that is it very peaceful with a sunset setting.

Artist Statement

I chose the android controlling humans because we live in a world where we rely too much on technology. Back in the old days, people send messages by sending young boys to deliver the message. Now, we do it so fast by sending it through our phones. Look at the internet, we can find information faster from the old days like fifty years ago. Do to technology, we are being controlled. How do you think everything was made? Look at money, it wasn’t hand made, it was made by a high tech machine. Look at the Hubble telescope; it is so high tech that we can see things that the naked human eye can see. That is the message I am trying to send, that humans are being controlled by technology like a puppet master.

Artist Statement Football On The Moon

I did this because it is what I love. Since I love sports and sports I one of my favorite passion. I chose sports. I chose different mediums because I wanted some parts to stand out so people would not look at it like it’s all the same. I wanted it to be exiting. Every time I messed up, I thought “OMG” and then I was like “wow this actually look good” so I started to work around it and in due time, my mistake became part of my art. I got my idea from my passion and a few friends. My friends just gave the idea and I had to add more stuff on to it like the moon. In my mind I was like “what I am I going to do? Where is my focal point going to be?” I decided to make it me, jumping in the air halfway to catching the football. Then I decided what going to be around me, I put my friends in next to me. My friends gave me the moon idea and I tried adding on to it. During this project, I was feeling awesome when I was on a roll, hardly got frustrated; I loved this project, thinking how I am going do it and how I could make it better. The thing I was scared about was the time. Time was right around the corner. I kept on thinking, don’t procrastinate. But this is how I got done with my project. It was hard work in the beginning but it all paid out in the end. I had some hard time and some good times but never got frustrated. This is why I made this Art. I took some extra time and next thing I know, I was playing Football On The Moon.

My backround is the forest because i ike the woods. All of the forest details lead and gives emphasis to my face. I drew little white lines on the tree for the specific details. I drew the moon to show that i love night time and the cold. I drew wolves because i have an American Eskimo dog. They are both in contrast because black and white is the only color they see.
